It is not necessary to have the registry entry in both locations. The registry entry can be placed in either of the following locations: Administrators can create a registry entry called UseDefaultCredentialsForProxy, and set the value to one (1) to enable the use of default system credentials for web proxy authentication. System or network administrators can allow the use of default system credentials for web proxy authentication. In networks that use a proxy server, Power BI Desktop may not be able to successfully make web requests. Web requests issued by Power BI Desktop do not use web proxy credentials. There may be many trace files in that folder. Navigate to the Traces folder on your local computer. When that occurs, Power BI Desktop adds events to the tracing log, which is kept on the local computer. NET Framework and still same thing happens.
I have tried both 64 bit and 32 bit versions, the same thing happens. When try running the exe the loading wheel spins and then nothing happens. The difference is that July's is an MSI but I cannot find an MSI for the latest versions of Power BI. Meaning, August's did not work and now nor is Septembers. We are no longer able to install Power BI Desktop on our companies devices.
